What Happens When a Pump Fails?

The problems seen with failure of the heart is similar to that seen in the example of the water pump. The decreased pumping ability results in:

  • Fatigue of arm and leg muscles
  • Dizziness due to reduced blood supply to the brain
  • Reduced kidney function
