If the rusty pipe became abruptly and totally blocked, water
supply to a portion of the garden would be completely and permanently
interrupted. The grass would die and turn into "scar tissue."
The dead grass would never return to its lush and green status
even if full water supply was restored. The garden has had an equivalent
of a heart attack.
